We are so thrilled to share more details about our summer school and daycare program, coming this summer 2022!
SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM:
The program is open for all children in the community, even if not enrolled at the school.
Age: 3 - 13 years
(half-day 9am-12pm available for 3-5 yr olds)
Dates: July 11 - August 12, 2022
Time: 9am-2:30pm from Monday to Friday.
Price: $250/child per week - half day $125/child per week (Lunch + Snacks are not included).
You can sign up your child for any or all of the weeks below. Places are limited. Available spaces will be on a first come, first serve basis.
July 11-15 - Week 1: Creative Construction
We will be building structures and create other design features for a Bovina mini-village landscape! The landscape will be part of two floats for the Bovina Bicentennial Celebration Parade on Saturday, July 30. Led by Kirsten Malloy & Blythe Czaja
July 18-22 - Week 2: Fiber Arts - Weaving Worlds
A local fiber arts teacher will introduce weaving to the children through tapestry and basketry, creating individual projects as well as participating in a group project. Led by Tina Harp
July 25-29 - Week 3: Theater & Performance Fun!
A story-telling artist and a dance instructor will work with the children to put together a performance with the children, incorporating dance, arts, acting, and more. Led by Kirsten Malloy & Vicky Lundell
August 1-5 - Week 4: Growing Healthy Kids
Inspired by the school's kitchen and flower garden as well as the school's forested acres, we will be educating the children about nutritious foods, through fun gardening and educational art experiences. Led by Blythe Czaja
August 8-12 - Week 5: Adventures on the Lake (only 6-13 years)
Children will be introduced to kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, and swimming, as well as lawn games, such as badminton and volleyball, and classic games like dodgeball, tag, capture the flag, and so on. There will be morning yoga/ mindfulness practice and a craft each afternoon. (Restrictions apply - only available for ages 6-13 years, regardless of school enrollment.) Led by Kirsten Malloy

SUMMER DAYCARE:
We are happy to also offer half-day daycare for children ages 18 months to 3 years during the summer! The daycare program will contain different outdoor activities with our already trained Montessori staff to guide the little ones. The children will be involved in different games (including safe water play), art projects, nature projects, and music/song/dance activities. They will also have fun with our bunnies on the school site.

Time: 9am-12pm from Monday to Friday.
Price: $125/child per week (Snacks are not included).
Places are limited. Available spaces will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Our Parent Co-Working Space will be available for those parents who need a place to work, while the half-day daycare is running.
